Vacancy Description
As Project Portfolio Officer, you make the Cheese and White Dairy innovation portfolio transparent, reliable and ready for effective decision-making. Reporting to the PPM Manager Innovation & DtV, you own the quality, structure and accessibility of portfolio information across European markets.
You do more than maintain existing reports and processes. You examine how portfolio data is collected, updated, analysed and used, and identify how this can be done faster, smarter and with less manual effort. Working with project managers and operating companies, you improve data quality, automate recurring activities and develop dynamic reporting solutions that provide an accurate and current view of portfolio performance.
For example, you may redesign how project updates are collected, automate the identification of missing or inconsistent information, or use AI to compare submissions, highlight material changes and prepare portfolio summaries. In this way, you enable the PPM Manager and leadership teams to spend more time on insights, priorities and decisions.
Your main responsibilities are to:
- Ensure the quality, completeness and consistency of project and portfolio data across Principal Toolbox and other portfolio-management systems.
- Monitor project progress, milestones, risks, dependencies, resource implications and Design-to-Value benefits.
- Analyse how portfolio data is currently collected, maintained and used, and redesign inefficient or overly manual processes.
- Develop dynamic dashboards and reporting solutions that provide a clear and current view of portfolio performance, material changes and actions required.
- Apply automation and AI to streamline data collection, identify missing or inconsistent information, compare project updates and improve portfolio reporting.
- Maintain effective portfolio processes and stage-gate adherence, while simplifying governance wherever possible.
- Work with project managers, operating companies and functional teams to improve data ownership and portfolio transparency.
- Support the PPM Manager in preparing portfolio reviews and decision-support materials for leadership teams.
- Build digital and data capabilities across the project-management community through practical tools, guidance and best-practice sharing.
Your work creates the reliable data and smart portfolio solutions behind better business decisions. By combining analytical discipline with curiosity about AI, automation and new ways of working, you help us move from manual reporting towards a faster, more dynamic and future-ready approach to portfolio management.
