Senior Business Consultant (Data) | Finance & Risk | Data Integration & Migration | Amsterdam

Are you an experienced Business Consultant with a strong background in data integration, migration and stakeholder management within financial services?

We are looking for a Senior Business Consultant (Data) to support a major banking organisation in Amsterdam. You will play a key role in delivering complex Finance & Risk data initiatives, supporting mergers and integrations, and ensuring seamless coordination across multiple business and technology teams.

About the role

As a Senior Business Consultant (Data), you will join the Finance & Risk Data Sourcing team, supporting several parallel mergers and integration initiatives within a complex banking environment.

You will be responsible for translating complex data integration challenges into clear business requirements, actionable delivery plans and structured implementation roadmaps. Working closely with business stakeholders, data architects, source systems and reporting teams, you will ensure that data sourcing, integration and migration activities are delivered effectively.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead business analysis activities across multiple Finance & Risk data sourcing, integration and migration initiatives.
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into clearly defined scope, implementation roadmaps and delivery plans.
• Coordinate stakeholders across business entities, data source domains, architecture teams, Finance & Risk platforms and reporting functions.
• Identify and manage data dependencies, ownership challenges, integration risks and data-quality issues.
• Ensure requirements, decisions, actions and project documentation are complete, traceable and aligned with governance standards.
• Monitor delivery progress, provide regular stakeholder updates and escalate risks or blockers when required.
• Support end-to-end integration activities, ensuring alignment between business requirements, technical delivery and reporting needs.

Who are you?

We are looking for a senior-level consultant who can confidently navigate complex data environments, manage multiple stakeholders and drive structured delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Consultant, Business Analyst or Data Business Analyst within a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with data sourcing, data integration and data migration.
• Experience translating complex data and integration requirements into business requirements, scope decisions and implementation plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across business, IT, architecture and data teams.
• Strong understanding of data dependencies, data quality, governance and end-to-end data flows.
• Experience working across multiple parallel projects, managing priorities, risks and delivery commitments.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience within banking, financial services or Finance & Risk environments is highly desirable.
• A proactive, structured and delivery-focused approach, with the confidence to challenge stakeholders and drive decisions.
